The Finance Authority of New Orleans, owner of the landmark Willows Apartments in New Orleans East, faced the daunting task of rehabilitating the hurricane-damaged apartment complex following Hurricane Katrina. The Finance Authority engaged GCHP to manage the renovation and upgrade of the flood-damaged property, seeking to create needed housing for residents of the hurricane shattered New Orleans East. GCHP managed the renovation project, including the restoration of 263 rental units across 19 separate buildings. Since completion of the Willows Apartments in late 2008, the Finance Authority has retained GCHP as the Asset Manager.
