GCHP partnered with CrescentCare to adaptively reuse a 35,000-square-foot historic office building in Mid-City New Orleans, transforming it into a state-of-the-art community health center: CrescentCare MidCity.
Originally constructed in 1957, the building was designed by Curtis and Davis Architects and Engineers—the renowned New Orleans firm behind the Superdome.
The renovated health center features 32 exam rooms, three procedure rooms, 19 offices for case management and behavioral health, 46 workspaces, a demonstration kitchen, a spacious staff break room, a community room, and two conference rooms.
CrescentCare MidCity was funded by New Markets Tax Credits allocations from GCHP, Capital One, and Hope Enterprise Corporation; Historic Tax Credits from Chase and Stonehenge; and conventional debt from Enterprise Community Loan Fund and Hope Credit Union.
