In partnership with Mid City Redevelopment Alliance, GCHP rehabilitated the first Oline Furniture Store in Baton Rouge into affordable residential housing. The Corona, a historic adaptive reuse development is located in the Mid City Cultural District and is in close proximity to downtown Baton Rouge, state and city government, educational facilities and public transportation. The historic building has been transformed into 37 units, consisting of 24 one bedroom and 13 studio apartments. The conversion includes on-site parking, a multipurpose room, a community garden and pavilion. The 33,000 square-foot property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
