The Deaconess entails the substantial rehabilitation of the former Bethany Nursing Home, a 32,740 square foot, two-story masonry structure. There are 40 efficiency units, 16 of which will be designated for households at 60% AMI and below, four units for households at 50% AMI and below, and the remaining 20 units will be for households at 20% AMI and below.

The project was financed through LIHTC, HOME funds through LHC, and CDBG funds through LA. Office of Community Development, and Affordable Housing Program loans through FHLB Atlanta, FHLB Dallas, and FHLB Pittsburgh.
